Teachers and Caregivers

The Middletown Public Library System provides many services and materials to support classroom teachers, home school parents and other caregivers.

In addition to a varied collection of books, magazines, audio cassettes, CDs, CD-ROMs and video materials, we offer Teacher Collection Cards, tours and visits, and professional resources. Additionally, the Internet and other electronic products are available.

LIBRARY RESOURCES AND SERVICES

Teacher Book Cards

To complement school and home curriculums the Middletown Public Library system offers a special card to home and school educators. With this card you may borrow up to 25 books for six weeks. Teachers and home school parents may apply for this card at any location.

Library Cards for Children

One of the greatest gifts you can give a child is a library card. Children are eligible for a library card from the Middletown Public Library System at birth. Call your local branch for more information.

Tours and Visits

To increase awareness of the Library's facilities, services and materials, we welcome school, scout and other groups to visit our libraries. Staff may provide a storytime, building tour, and instruction on the library catalog. Call your local branch to schedule your group's tour.
